Ellen Jamason brings extensive experience in real estate, law, business and government to Common Bond Capital Partners. She has over 20 years of experience in complex commercial and residential development projects.
As a former partner at two major international law firms, Ellen's work includes a broad range of real estate and land use law, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, land use entitlement, and debt and equity financing. She has represented both developers and governmental agencies in structuring public/private partnerships, addressing complex infrastructure development issues, and handling infill and redevelopment projects. She has handled complex equity and debt financings and workouts from both company and lender/investor sides, and has advised clients in the acquisition and repositioning of distressed real estate assets.
In the late 1990's and early 2000's Ellen was Senior Director of Real Estate and Site Development for Cisco Systems, Inc., where she oversaw all of Cisco's domestic and international real estate activities, including development and construction of corporate campuses in Northern California, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Texas and Amsterdam and management of a portfolio that at its peak reached over 17 million square feet of office space. At Cisco she also led the State and Local Government Affairs team, advising C-level executives on public policy issues.
Prior to attending law school, Ellen served as Deputy Director at the National Security Agency. Ellen is active in the San
Francisco Bay Area community and is past Chair of Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco. Ellen earned a B.A. in East Asian Studies from Wesleyan University, and a J.D. from University of California at Berkeley. |
