Management Team: Todd J. Anson

Todd Anson's ability to anticipate trends and foresee profitable opportunities guided him to an innovative career in commercial real estate development and real estate law and brought him to join Bill Huck in co-founding Common Bond Capital Partners in January 2012.

While serving as a Big Law Managing Partner and Global Real Estate Practice Leader he helped revolutionize the way high technology companies in Silicon Valley controlled their real estate assets by creating previously unused ownership structures for them to entitle, finance and develop their own facilities. This enabled his clients to take control of their critical facilities component and significantly reduce occupancy costs while creating billions of dollars of equity for their companies. As a developer, he was among the first in the world to partner with tech companies in owning large-scale campus facilities when he co-founded Cisterra Partners, LLC, an Entrepreneur of the Year award-winning commercial development company that became the only company to partner with Cisco Systems and Biogen IDEC to own and develop million plus square foot headquarter campuses in Boston and Amsterdam for Cisco and in San Diego for Biogen IDEC.

Anson brings unique skills in complex real estate development finance and real estate law to Common Bond's collaborative approach to municipal bond restructuring. He is a skilled financial strategist, negotiator and businessman who has lead countless deals to successful completion.

As co-founder of his development company, Cisterra Partners, he was instrumental in the development of San Diego's trophy office property, the 15-story DiamondView Tower overlooking the San Diego Padres' Petco Park in the East Village Redevelopment District. The project garnered numerous awards for design and creativity while generating the highest price per square foot ever achieved in San Diego when sold in 2008.

He holds a B.S., Summa Cum Laude, Mathematics, from Central Michigan University and a J.D., Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Michigan.
